Meet Toochi
Adopted from a shelter in San Francisco, Toochi arrived as an anxious and shy dog. After having fostered over 40 dogs, her owner, Kate Tova, was prepared to face any challenge. Toochi had endured abuse in her previous home and needed ample quiet time in a calm environment. With Kate’s patience, love, and dedication, Toochi discovered a special talent for painting, which helped her relax and be less fearful.
Tova says: “Australian cattle dogs are typically very energetic but she prefers mental exercises and tricks to physical ones. She loves learning and she loves treats. It often shocks me how good she is and how expressive her brushstrokes are. She inspires me to just go for it and live in the moment.”

“Rain of Treats”
This is Toochi's inaugural collection, which draws inspiration from the recent storms that swept across California. After the gloomy period came the joyful sight of lush nature and hills adorned with vibrant wildflowers.
“Toochi” means “rainclouds”. Coincidentally, her paintings mirror the appearance of cascading rainclouds as well.
"Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning how to dance in the rain." V. Greene
When faced with difficult times, it is crucial to remember that they are temporary. This collection encourages us to embrace every moment of our existence, much like dogs do, finding joy in the present.
